Scholarship and Research

ODEN scholarship and research focuses on organizational topics that have impact in the arts/humanities, social and physical sciences, and some professional disciplines including health care, education, law, and fine arts. Organizational Dynamics students, alumni, Faculty, and Visiting Scholars conduct research, teach, study, consult, and serve on panels with members of the academic or business community.

Sudden Cardiac Arrest

ODEN supports scholars from multiple disciplines searching for new approaches to apply to difficult problems. One concerns the current ways that communities respond to sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). For this project, supported with a gift from Cardiac Science Corporation, and including scholars from several universities including Dr. Guy Knickerbocker one of the three authors of the original paper describing the discovery of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), we have established a project called Reshaping the System of Survival for Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
