Services and Benefits
ODEN at PENN makes educational services available to members. These provide updates on best practices and new information about organizational dynamics. Career enhancement activities include participation in ODEN Special Interest Groups, Career Networking Meetings, and Mentoring. Every effort is made to accommodate the changing needs of members by introducing new programs and services as needed.
Members of ODEN at PENN also receive email notifications of job opportunities. Members are also encouraged to publicize their own organizations' positions.
ODEN Member Travel Education
Among the courses that result in non-degree Continuing Education Units and Educational Certificates from the Organizational Dynamics Exchange Network (ODEN) at PENN are the popular Organizational Dynamics International Courses Abroad.
ODEN members are eligible to participate in the travel portion of these courses, accompanying degree candidates to all International destinations for reduced fees. Membership in the Organizational Dynamics Exchange Network is a requirement for enrollment.
ODEN Social-Education Programs
ODEN members are invited to attend, without charge, the fall and spring brunches hosted by Organizational Dynamics at the beginning of each semester. These gatherings bring together newly admitted students, current faculty and staff, and members of the Dynamics extended alumni family. Each brunch also includes a distinguished guest speaker who discusses a topic of relevance to the community.
ODEN members may also attend, for a small charge, the dinner and lunch lecture series offered each semester. These events are held between 5:15 pm and 6:30 pm on week days and between 12:00 noon and 1:00 pm on Saturdays and both include a meal. Attending are students, faculty, guests, and others from the Penn community. All lectures include a follow-up opportunity for questions-answers with the speakers.
ODEN members are also invited to attend the networking and other social gatherings with students, faculty and Dynamics community members. These events include discussion about outreach, discussion about ongoing political or social events, and celebrations of members or programs. One upcoming topic is the 35th anniversary celebration of Organizational Dynamics to be held in 2012. This is expected to be a year-long event with several opportunities for reconnection and future planning.
ODEN LinkedIn Group
ODEN members are encouraged to join the ODEN LinkedIn group. Created in 2008 this online community has approximately 200 members and is growing.
