"I love this program!" ~ Jerry Walton - MBA, MSOD

Jerry Walton is currently working on a Master of Philosophy in Organizational Dynamics. Additionally, he is completing certificates in the Global, and P3 concentrations.

Can you tell us a bit about your professional background?
For most of my career I have worked for both large and small firms in the cash management field as a Certified Treasury professional and the last two years as a process manager for an energy firm.

What motivated you to apply to Organizational Dynamics?
After completing an MBA some 15 years ago, I still felt a little academically unfulfilled. Wanting a different perspective on formalized learning, I applied to this life-changing program after hearing about it from my wife (then girlfriend). In 1995 I received my first degree from Organizational Dynamics, a Master of Science and since then I have returned to work on a Master of Philosophy.

Do any professors stand out as having a particular impact on you?
Yes, two professors come to mind right away. The courses I took with Dr. Foulie Perlmutter [who's since retired] and Dr. Martin Stankard were particularly meaningful.

Is there anything else you'd like to say about being in the Program?
Well, my wife is an academic widow but lovingly accepts it. Additionally, the instructors, course materials and classmates create a balance for my professional life and offer me valuable new perspectives to consider. And lastly, being a part of an academic community like Organizational Dynamics makes me consider furthering myself, and my career with additional academic and professional pursuits.
