Among his signature achievements are leading teams of project risk analysts in assessing stealth aircraft technology and the cost/schedule risks of constructing off-shore oil drilling platforms. His project experience ranges from huge mega-projects to incubator-sized, innovative startups and demonstrates the scalability and portability of project risk management processes. Mr. Hornbacher has been active in the Project Management Institute (PMI) for more than two decades and contributed to revisions of the Guide to Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK ® guide). He was a founding member of the Board of Directors, PMI's Health Care Project Management Specific Interest Group.
