Biography

Jan Hanousek is Visiting Scholar and Affiliated Faculty, Organizational Dynamics, and a full Professor at CERGE-EI, a joint workplace of the Charles University and Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. He is a research fellow at the William Davidson Institute of the Michigan Business School and a research fellow at CEPR. From 1994-1997 he was the Director of Graduate Studies at CERGE; from 1999-2003 the Director of CERGE-EI. He served as a Consultant to the World Bank in 1998, and from 1996-2001 was a member of the Supervisory Board of Komercni Bank. His research interests are applied econometrics, and econometrics and statistics. He received a CSc. (Ph.D.) in Statistics from Charles University, Prague in 1990.
