BiographyJohn Eldred is Affiliated Faculty, Organizational Dynamics, and Co-President of Transition One Associates, a consulting firm specializing in helping organizations and individuals facing major business transitions. In 1980 he co-founded the Wharton School's Family Business Program, which provided training and development for the founding generation of business owners as well as for succeeding generations. As lecturer in Wharton's Department of Management from 1979 until 1993, Mr. Eldred developed the first Wharton graduate-level courses in the change process: Managing Organizational Change and Managing Organizational Transition. He has an M.S. degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Social Systems Science. Specializing in linking individual growth and organizational renewal, his work bridges the fields of executive education, strategic management, and quality of working life. His work has been featured in the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, the European Labor Relations Review, FastCompany Magazine, and on CBS News. He has given hundreds of speeches, lectures, and presentations to groups as diverse as The American Meat Institute, the U.S. Navy, the United Auto Workers, The American College of Physician Executives, and the International Council for Quality of Working Life.
