BiographyJane Combrinck-Graham is Affiliated Faculty, Organizational Dynamics. She has advanced client service initiatives for Aon Risk Services since 1998. She facilitates Aon Risk Services' regional and national client service integrity and compliance programs and she consults with clients on their risk management organizational alignment and staffing. In 1997, she launched the Center for Advanced Risk Management Education as a new division o f AICPCU/IIA (Insurance Institutes), offering specialized risk management education to business professionals. She designed an examination-based course on Healthcare Risk Management in collaboration with the American Society of Healthcare Risk Managers, among other professional organization partnerships that she forged. Prior to founding CARME, she served for five years as an insurance broker and risk management consultant to health care organizations for Alexander & Alexander (later Aon). She provided broking and consulting services to private and for-profit health care organizations, including coordinating captive management services for several clients. At the University of Pennsylvania from 1986 to 1992, she served as the Associate Director of the Risk Management Department, as a director of higher education reinsurance captive insurance company, and as the captive's claims director. During a leave from those duties, she was Penn's interim Student Judicial Inquiry Officer. While at Penn, she developed a course on Risk Management that she continues to teach in Organizational Dynamics. Before joining Penn, she clerked for a Philadelphia trial court judge and then practiced law for five years, concentrating on medical malpractice, personal injury, and employment-related matters. She earned her Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriting (CPCU) designation from the AICPCA/IIA, her JD from Temple University School of Law, and her BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
