Biography

Charles L. Bosk is a Professor of Sociology at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the author of Forgive and Remember: Managing Medical Failure, and All God's Mistakes: Genetic Counseling in a Pediatric Hospital. He has published widely on numerous topics in bioethics, sociology, and medical journals, and is a Fellow of the Hastings Center. His current research interests include the relationship of social science to bioethics, the impact of patent policy on genetic discovery, medical error and the socialization of medical students. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago.
