Biography
Joel Adler, Ph.D, is Affiliated Faculty, Organizational Dynamics, Senior Fellow, in the Ackoff Center for Advancement of Systems Approaches, and founder and president of University Informatics Associates, Inc. (UIA) which provides IT strategy consulting services and develops custom software for the distribution and manufacturing industries. His UIA clients include AmeriGas, Amtrak, Conrail, GlaxoSmith Kline, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, ICI Americas, International Service Systems, Lukens Steel, Quantum Chemical Corporation, R&B Corporation, Reliance Standard Life Insurance, R.F. Weston Inc. and AstraZeneca. He received three advanced degrees from Penn: Ph.D. (1980) in Operations Research from the Wharton School; M.S. (1969) in Computer Science from the School of Engineering and Applied Science; and M.S. (1962) in Physics from the School of Arts and Sciences.
