Browse Courses: Spring 2010

Page updated November 18, 2009

Open Registration for Spring 2010 courses began on Thursday, October 22, 2009 and ended on Monday, November 16, 2009. Late Registration began November 17; courses are assigned only as available during Late Registration, so register early!!

During Open Registration, students who register will be given their first choice on a first‐come, first‐served basis, except in the following instances:

  • a course is under-enrolled;
  • a course is canceled by the University or the Professor for any reason;
  • a student is on financial hold;
  • a student does not meet prerequisites that have been established for the course;
  • a student registers for two of Dr. Larkin's classes in contiguous semesters. (Dr. Larkin does not accept students in classes back-to-back.)

If you are one of the first 16 people to register in a course, you will be placed in that course (unless one of the exceptions noted above applies). If the course is full, or if any of the exceptions above apply, you will be enrolled in your second- and/or third-choice courses. You will be notified if, for any reason, it should be impossible to honor your second and/or third choice.

During Late Registration, students who register are not guaranteed their first choice and will be placed in courses based on space availability and other factors.

Final confirmation of courses will be made by letter during Late Registration.

To assist you in making choices and registering for courses, we have posted to the website a new page listing all courses and the number of students registered in each. The figures on this page (http://www.organizationaldynamics.upenn.edu/od.cgi/reginfospring2010.html) will be updated frequently throughout the registration period. Click here to access the page.

Spring Term courses will begin on Wednesday, January 13, 2010.

Please note that the University and the O.D. Program Office will be CLOSED on Monday, January 18, 2010, the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.
