"Every course seemed to have an impact on my thinking." ~ Jane Hartman Frankel - Alumna, MSOD

Jane Hartman Frankel is an alumna of the Organizational Dynamics degree program. She received her Master of Science in Organizational Dynamics in 1999 and she holds a Master's in Education, as well. In 2006 she founded The Art of Performance, LLC. She is Adjunct Professor of Business Communications and Entrepreneurship at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia and of International Organizational Behavior at Arcadia University in Glenside, PA. She published a five-part series: "Empowered Employees: An Organizational Learning Model," and she has written several articles on creating organizational cultures.

What professional experience did you bring to the OD program?
I have worked in the software and IT industry for 20+ years, developing organizations for high performance, using a collaborative approach to partnering and organizational alignment. My focus is on helping leaders establish organizational cultures that promote individual growth while maintaining company growth and sustainability. These companies integrate the needs of customers and employees into their overall direction and mission. I entered the OD program with a background in education and I have since gone on to facilitate lifelong learning environments through teaching entrepreneurship, communications, and organizational behavior.

What motivated you to apply to Organizational Dynamics and how has the Program impacted your professional work?
I was interested in a graduate education that integrated business and social science topics. The awareness I gained of how individuals' needs impact the overall ability of an organization to attain its goals was invaluable, as was my experience in the O.D. Program; I now work in the areas of practice I studied in the program.
