DLE has a separate application from DYNM degree programs.
A course unit (CU) is the standard measure for a graduate course at Penn. DYNM courses are valued at ½ CU (18 credit hours), 1 CU (36 credit hours) and 2 CUs (72 credit hours).
The requirements, materials, activities, and costs for DLE participants are identical to those of degree students. Every person who completes a Penn graduate course receives a traditional letter grade (A, B, etc.) on an official Penn transcript.
A person admitted into DLE may register for up to 2 CUs in any combination (e.g., 1 + ½ + ½ CU). DLE participants who apply and are subsequently admitted to the MS or MPhil degree program in Organizational Dynamics can use the transcript showing completed CU courses to meet degree requirements.
