Courses

Courses are held Monday through Saturday. Courses valued at 1 course unit (CU) provide at least 36 hours of contact time. Course valued at .5 CU have at least 18 contact hours. Some courses meet once per week for 2 - 4 hours. Weekday classes begin at , and 6:30 pm. Saturday classes begin at 8:30 or 9:00 am and may be held for a half (3 – 3.5 hours) or full day (7 – 8 hours). Courses are offered during the three University of Pennsylvania semesters: fall (September), spring (January), and summer (May).

Previous International Courses Abroad

For most working professionals, global issues involving culture, communication, economics, labor, negotiation styles, joint ventures and acquisitions, or new markets are fundamental parts of their organizational lives. To support this, Organizational Dynamics offers seminars with a global focus, as well as seminars that take place in cities abroad.» more

Project-based Courses

Faculty, scholars and students in Organizational Dynamics conduct applied research and are engaged in projects for and with organizations interested in our expertise as trans-disciplinary applied scholars. Projects are supervised and directed by faculty and program administrators. Project outcomes include organizational objectives and academic scholarship.» more

Independent Study

A student in the MS or MPhil degree program of Organizational Dynamics may propose an independent study course (DYNM 699) if certain conditions are met. If the independent study topic concerns a concentration (LM, PR, P3, OC, GL, SD), it may be coded as such but this must be proposed at the time of registration.» more

Capstone Requirements

The Capstone/thesis is a degree requirement for all MSOD and all MPhil candidates.» more
